Virtual Classroom

The Virginia Department of Fire Programs is pleased to announce the rollout of the Virginia Department of Fire Programs Fire Service Training (VDFP-FST) didactic based on-line classroom for Virginia Residents Only. As programs continue to be developed using this form of technology, the student will be given the opportunity to take classroom based courses in the comfort of their home or station.

To access this, you will first need to register in the system. Download the two tutorials and follow the online commands to first get you in the system. Once you have completed the registration process and you are accepted into the program, you will be sent an email to participate in this online learning environment. This process may take up to 24 hours to process.

Please Note: If you are a current employee of the Commonwealth of Virginia with a Virginia email address and a member of another Knowledge Centre' site, the system will not allow duplication. To work around this issue, you can use a personal email address to register in the VDFP-FST Knowledge Centre'.

Now that you have downloaded the above two documents, click on the campus picture below to enter the VDFP-FST and begin your registration process.

PRINTING CERTIFICATES IN VDFP-FST LMS (AFTER COURSE COMPLETION (Login, Access, Certificate)

  1. Access the login page.

  2. Login to the site using your existing login ID and password and click on submit.

    (HELPFUL HINTS - Enter login (case sensitive) and password, and click the submit button.  If you forgot either the login or password, click on “forgot login” or “forgot password” after entering one of the two required fields. The missing login or password will be emailed to you.

  3. After login, the screen will display a list of domains of the various departments of the state.  VDFP is listed as the third one down in the list Select the Virginia Department of Fire Programs domain referenced above that displays APPROVED to the RIGHT of it. 

  4. Printing your online course certificate.

    1. Select Administration
    2. Select Student Records
    3. Select Student Transcript
    4. Select the hyperlink word certificate for the completed course

  5. Print the certificate following the directions on the screen

You can logout after printing or continue on to the next course offering.
